Act 210 (Senate Bill 931)
Extends the state's higher education tuition waiver program
to the children of sheriffs, deputy sheriffs and soldiers
killed during active state or federal duty. The legislation
was amended to be retroactive to September 11, 2001.

Prohibits tuition from increasing for four years (until June 30, 2007).

Establishes the Older Adult Postsecondary Educational Gratuity
Program. The program provides free tuition for state residents
60-years-old or older to pursue courses of interest at the state's
community colleges, state system of higher education universities,
or state-related universities on a space-available basis.

Independent Higher Education and Community Financing Act
House Bill 2502 (Rep. Tom Stevenson)
Requires higher education institutions to provide undergraduate
students with information about per-student fees, the cost of
instruction, and tuition as a percentage of instructional cost
when transmitting tuition bills.
