Senate Bills

Senate Bill 152 (Sen. David Brightbill)
Requires the Philadelphia School District to develop both an annual budget and a projected budget for the next four years.

Senate Bill 783 (Sen. Patrick Browne)
Allocates funding to urban school districts to institute or expand full-day kindergarten programs, develop or expand preschool for four-year-olds, or develop or expand other early childhood development initiatives such as Head Start.


House Bills

House Bill 377 (Rep. James Roebuck)
Increases the compulsory school age from 6 to 8 in the Philadelphia School District. The change would not apply to home education students.

House Bill 1384 (Rep. Patrick Browne)
Allocates funding to urban school districts to institute or expand full-day kindergarten programs, develop or expand preschool for four-year-olds, or develop or expand other early childhood development initiatives such as Head Start.
