To Whom It May Concern:

I reviewed, with great interest, your candidate survey for the General Assembly.

As you well know, the bills that come before the General Assembly are usually changed dramatically through the legislative process by amendment in committee, on the House floor or in conference committee. The final form the bill takes usually represents an attempt at compromise between the conflicting interest groups on the issue. Accordingly, to commit myself to a particular position on legislation as outlined in your survey is not fair to you or my constituents.

I judge every bill on its merits. My legislative office door will always be open for your views on these very important pieces of legislation as they relate to you. I remain,

Very truly yours,

Raymond Bunt, Jr.
Majority Caucus Secretary
