EPLC Conference – 2005

Pennsylvania Education Policy and Leadership Conference 2005

Policymakers, educators, parents, business and community leaders gathered in Harrisburg on March 13-15, 2005, for the third annual Pennsylvania Education Policy and Leadership Conference.

The event began with two pre-Conference Workshops on “Highly Qualified Requirements – Implications for Practitioners and School Staffing” and “Act 72 and School District Budgets and Taxes – Implications for School Boards and Communities”.

Along with presentations by members of the Pennsylvania General Assembly, parents and school leaders delivered at the 20 sessions offered during the three-day conference, attendees also heard from PA Secretary of Education Francis Barnes, PA Secretary of Policy and Planning Donna Cooper, and PA Deputy Secretary for Elementary and Secondary Education Gerald Zahorchak.
