ArtsEdSearch is a a new online clearinghouse of close to 200 high-quality research studies is arts education, syntheses of the major findings of these studies, and implications of the collected research for educational policy. The material addresses how education in the arts—in both discrete arts classes and integrated arts lessons—affects students’ cognitive, personal, social, and civic development–and how the integration of the arts into school curricula affects student learning and educators’ instructional practice and engagement in the teaching profession.
ArtsEdSearch is a project of the Arts Education Partnership (AEP), which is our nation’s hub for critical information and communication about current and emerging arts education policies, issues, and activities at the national, state, and local levels. The Education Policy and Leadership Center (EPLC) is one of 35 AEP Partner Organizations.
