Folks in Lancaster know how important the arts are to our community. Now, the rest of Pennsylvania will know as well.
Lancaster has been named the host city for the 2017 Governor’s Awards for the Arts, being held Thursday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. in Freedom Hall at the Lancaster County Convention Center.
“I can’t think of a better place to have these awards,” Pennsylvania’s First Lady Frances Wolf said during an announcement at the Fulton Theatre Thursday afternoon. “There is such a strong sense of community in Lancaster, everyone is a cheerleader for the arts.”
