Karl Girton

Karl Girton is a lifelong resident of Millville, a rural community in Northeastern Pennsylvania. He graduated from Millville High School and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Accounting from the Citadel and a Master of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University, which selected him as an Alumni Fellow in 1992.

For more than 25 years he was Owner/President of a company founded by his father in 1927, which designed, installed and supported industrial food processing plants in domestic and international markets. KarFel, Girton’s current business, specializes in providing a variety of business management services.

Karl has served as a member and officer of several business and civic organizations. These duties include that of bank board member and member and officer of several food industry groups, both regional and national. In Pennsylvania he has served on the Governors Economic Development Partnership Board and as a member and Chairman of the Pennsylvania State Board of Education.

He is married to his business partner, Felecia, and they are the parents of Matthew, a professor at Lock Haven University and Melanie, an attorney in New York City.
