Pennsylvania Education Policy and Leadership Conference 2004
More than 250 policymakers, educators, parents, business and community leaders gathered in Harrisburg on March 21-23, 2004, for the 2nd annual Pennsylvania Education Policy and Leadership Conference.
The event began with two pre-Conference Workshops on the 2004-2005 State Education Budget and a Primer on ESEA-No Child Left Behind and IDEA.
Along with presentations by state policymakers, teachers and business leaders delivered at the more than 20 sessions offered during the three-day conference, attendees also heard from 2003 National Teacher-of-the-Year Betsy Rogers, nationally renowned special education law expert Melinda Baird, and Pennsylvania Secretary of Education Vicki Phillips.
