Vanessa Flores is a senior at Temple University pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a Public Policy minor. In addition to her studies, she has held an internship with the PA Democratic Party and the Wagner Free Institute of Science and will be a campus fellow for Project 26 (get out the student vote campaign) this fall. Other leadership roles on campus include the Vice President of Risk for all Panhellenic Sororities on campus and a director within Temple’s Student Government. Vanessa will serve as Temple’s next student body president. As a product of Pennsylvania’s public school system and regularly working with students in the classroom, Vanessa is passionate about expanding quality educational resources equitably across the Commonwealth. Throughout her time with the EPLC, she hopes to gain a deeper understanding of education policy within the state, learn how to become a strong advocate, and explore the role of NGOs in advancing education equity. Following her graduation in May of 2027, Vanessa plans to pursue a career within the public sector and attend law school.
